Green Filter 2012 180 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane

The reverse osmosis process is a basic process in nature and has been used for more than 30 years applied to water treatment. These semi-permeable membranes allow only pure water (H2o) to flow through them, removing excessive mineral salts according to your taste. Likewise, it also repels bacteria, microorganisms, heavy metals, viruses.

Membrane type: spiral slit

Membrane composed of 3 layers

1. Fully cross-linked in 0.3 micron aromatic polyamide.
2. Polysulfone 45 microns.
3. 100 micron polyester non-woven fabric.

Spacer: EPDM

Active surface area: x,xxm²(xft²) * Test pressure 8bar(116psi) * Production flow(N1) 45,83 l/h(300gpd) * Salt rejection(N2) 93% * Recovery 15%

OPERATIONAL LIMITS
* Max. temperature 45 ºC (113ºF)
* Max. pressure 8.6bar(125 psi)
* Max Inlet Flow 7.6lpm (2.0 gpm)
* pH range, continuous operation 3-10
* Free chlorine tolerance¹ <0.1 ppm

¹Under certain conditions, the presence of chlorine and other oxidizing agents may cause damage to the membrane.
It is recommended to remove residual free chlorine from the pre-treatment before exposure to the membrane with activated carbon filters. It is recommended to replace it every 24 months max.

GENERAL INFORMATION
• All membranes are tested and vacuum sealed in a bag containing a solution of sodium bisulfite and propylene glycol to prevent short-term biological growth (storage and transportation)
• Flush the membrane before drinking the water.
• Keep items moist after the initial wetting.
• To prevent biological growth during prolonged system shutdown, it is recommended that membrane elements be immersed in a preservative solution.
• The membrane has some short-term resistance to chlorine (hypochlorite). Continuous exposure, however, may damage the membrane and should be avoided.
• The customer is fully responsible for the effects of incompatible chemicals and lubricants on elements.
• use only glycerin or petroleum jelly as a lubricant if necessary.
• The use of this product in and of itself does not necessarily guarantee the removal of cysts and pathogens from the water. Cysts and germs can be eliminated through a specially designed complete system.
