Ionecore Ultrafiltration Water Filter

Ultrafiltration is a process that separates water particles between reverse osmosis and microfiltration. It can be described as a synthesis of membrane filtration, to deal with problems such as macromolecules, colloids, viruses and bacteria.

• The system operates at low pressures compared to reverse osmosis, without changing the mineral salts present in the water.

• The Ionicore UF membrane is manufactured with polysulfone capillaries, with 0.01 micron filtration and a maximum recommended flow of 4 lt/min.

• The average useful life of the system is 12,000 litres or one year provided that the water used is chlorine-free and subjected to pre-filtration.

• The recommended working pressure for the membrane is between 0.5 and 8.2 bar.

• Its applications are numerous, ideal for refrigeration columns, reverse osmosis (instead of the UVC lamp) and microfiltration systems.

• Activation: it is advisable to let the water flow through the membrane at maximum pressure and with maximum flow rate, for at least 5 minutes to allow any air present to be purged.

Membrane change: When capacity is reached, or when flow slows (falls below 0.7bar/10psi), max. 12 months.

Do not use where water is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before and after the system.

Certified cyst reduction systems may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts. All systems must be maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
